Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has hailed new signing Jadon Sancho after seeing him train with the rest of the squad, saying he will definitely help the team.
The 24-year-old moved to Stamford Bridge on loan on deadline day and is expect to make his debut for the Blues at Bournemouth this weekend.
After seeing the team’s players practice together, Maresca praised Sancho, saying he did as well as expected and that he would help strengthen the team.
“He’s been as good as we expected,” Maresca said. “He’s a good player, has the ability to go one-on-one with opponents in the final third. I’m sure he’ll help us.”
“Most of our wingers are going to have 10 one-on-ones a game. For any winger, it’s a dream to go forward and create one-on-one opportunities. We let them UFABET try that a lot of times.”
“Our best player at the moment is Noni. In pre-season he scored a lot of goals, created a lot of chances. Every time he receives the ball and can go one-on-one. Noni is excellent, but all our wingers are doing a good job.”
Sancho’s career has stalled badly, however, and while there were green shoots during a loan return to Dortmund in the second half of last season – which ended in a Champions League final appearance – he arrives in west London with a reputation to rebuild.
Sancho’s United career was effectively end by a public clash with Ten Hag after he was dropp for last September’s meeting with Arsenal. The Dutchman said his decision was due to the 24-year-old’s poor training performances, leading Sancho to hit back in a social media post in which he claim to have been made a scapegoat for the club’s struggles.
