German media outlet Ufabet reports that Liverpool have a better chance of signing Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah than their league rivals.
The German international centre-back has emerged as a wanted man for several Premier League clubs with his contract set to expire at the end of the season after confirming he will not sign a new deal with Leverkusen.
Manchester United, Chelsea, Spurs and the Reds have all shown interest in Tah. Along with German giants Bayern Munich and Spanish giants Barcelona.
According to reports from the German media, Liverpool are the favourites over their league rivals to sign the 28-year-old defender. While Tah himself would like to play in England but would only want to stay at a club that is participating in the Champions League.
For Tah, who joined Leverkusen from Hamburg in 2015, he has made 357 appearances for the club and enjoyed a successful season last term. Promotion Ufabet winning the Bundesliga title and winning the DFB-Pokal and DFB-Supercup last month.
Tah’s current contract is set to expire at the end of the season, and the defender was heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich during the summer.
